Q: When and where is the 2018 Race? A: Date: Saturday, April 21, 2018, Suwanee Town Center Park Time: 5K Race begins at 9:15 am in front of the Library on Main Street Fun Run begins at 8:30 am in front of Suwanee City Hall
Q: How much does it cost to register? A: The pre-registration is $25 for the 5K race and $15 for the Fun Run. After April 6th and Race Day registration, 5K is $30, Fun Run is $20
Q: How can I register? A: Runners can register online, in-store @ Big Peach Running Company Suwanee, by mail or on race day. ONLINE REGISTRATION - Online registration must be completed by Thursday, April 19th by 8 pm. Click the Register Tab to register online.

RACE DAY REGISTRATION - On-site registration will be at Suwanee Town Center Park Starting at 6:30am.
Q: How will I receive my race number? A: Participants who register online, In-store at Big Peach or via mail can pick-up their race number in advance at Big Peach Running Co. Suwanee: Friday, April 20th; 2pm to 7pm. Or pick-up their race number on the day of the race at Suwanee Town Center Park beginning at 6:30 am. *All Registrations AFTER 5:00PM on Thursday, April 19th, will ONLY be available for Pick Up on Race Day Morning. NO race numbers are mailed. The 5K is Chip Timing.
Q: Where is Race Parking? A: There is plenty of parking behind the restaurants and shops at Suwanee Town Center Park.
Q: Can I increase my donation? A: You may make a donation to Race for the Rescues by clicking on the Donation Link that is listed under the Donate Tab on our website, when you register on the registration site, or you may add a donation to your check if you are registering by mail or at Big Peach Running Co. Suwanee.
Q: Where does the money go that is raised? A: All money raised by the Race for the Rescues will be donated to approved animal rescues groups and animal welfare groups in our area. The organizations must apply for a Grant from the Race for the Rescues.
Q: What is the race course? Is it certified? A: Yes. See below for a map of the race route. Begins on Main St. in front of Evergreen Presbyterian Church, Right on Scales Street (uphill), Right on Brushy Ridge Way, Left on Brushy Creek, Right on Eva Kennedy, Left on Stonecypher, Right on Suwanee Dam Road, Right on Main Street, End in front of the Library on Main Street. Q: Do runners receive a t-shirt? A: All competitors who register early will receive the Race for the Rescues T-Shirt (late registration and day of only while supplies last) & Runners Bag. T-shirts in size XXL and XXXL are available to pre-registered runners only for an extra fee of $2.
Q: Can teams/groups compete? A: Teams/groups may compete. There is a team/group option to register on the registration website. Largest Team wins a prize
Q: When will I receive my race results? A: Results will be posted in real time online.
Q: Are prizes awarded? A: Prizes will be awarded after the race: There will be trophies/prizes awarded to the top finishers for both Men and Women Overall/Masters and in age groups - 3 deep. 10 and under to 70+. Awards will be given to the Top 3 Dogs crossing the finish line in the 5K. Fun Run participants will receive a medal. Bandannas will be awarded to all dogs participating in the event.
Q: Can I bring my dog/run with my dog? A: Yes, runners are encouraged to bring their dog(s) and run with their dog(s). We need to be sure the fastest runners are in the front near the Start Line. You may be a fast runner and have a dog – you will be allowed to be near the front. Q: Are strollers allowed in the 5K and/or the Fun Run? A: Yes. We ask strollers start near the back of the field. We need to be sure the fastest runners are in the front near the Start Line.
Q: What are the times for the Event? A: Day of registration begins at 6:30am. The Fun Run starts at 8:30am. The 5K starts at 9:15am. Vendors plan to be open 8:00am to 12 - 12:30pm. Enjoy food and beverage, arts and crafts, treats for dogs, cats and runners alike. Vendors of all kinds will have samples and products for sale. Many local rescues will be there with dogs for adoption. Microchip your dog at the Panned PEThood vendor booth. B98.5FM will be onsite playing music for us.
Q: Who sponsors the race? A: In addition to proceeds from race entry fees and the extra contributions made by race participants, the Race for the Rescues 5K & Fun Run relies upon private and corporate support. To sponsor or become a vendor, please see the Sponsors and Vendors Tab on this website
